The Axolotl also known as (The Mexican Walking Fish), is a salamander that lives in Mexico. Axolotls are currently critically endangered animals. They live in one lake, Lake Xochimilco and the canals leading to Mexico city. Axolotls eat coruscations, mollusks, Insect Larva, Worms, and sometimes Small Fish. Axolotls Normally live 5-6 years, but if under good care can sometimes live 15 years. The reason Axolotls are critically endangered is because believe it our not it's because of human beings not animals us humans, the ways humans are killing them is 1.We drain the lake they live in, 2.We build on top of the lake, 3.People keep Axolotls as pets, and don't take good care of them, And last but not least, 4.We kill them by putting invasive animals in the lake and kill them on our own. There are different types of axolotls being the Dirty face, Albinism, Melanoid, Copper, Mosaic, Gold, The Regular, Leucism, Piebald, Wild Type, Mosaic, And The Silver Dalmatian Axolotl.
