Red Eared Sliders or Red Eared Turpan belongs to the Emydidae family, and is a subspecies of Pond Turpan. The Red Eared Turpan is native to Midwestern United States to Northen Mexico. The Red Eared Turpan is in the list of the worlds 100 most invasive species and is the most invasive turtle in the world. The Red Eared Turpan was previsly known as Troost's Turtle in favor Gerard Troost. The Red Eared Turpan can get to 40 centimeter or 16 inches long. Females are bigger than males. These turtles have full skeletal systems and webbed feet. These turtles have a red stripe located behind there eyes and a yellow stripe under there eyes.
